Genesis Twenty-six

G

Holy Spirit, keep us wide open to Your instructions. Teach us to hear and obey Your voice. Remind us that obedience even in the smallest details leads to Your revelation about what our next step needs to be. Grow our faith so that it can turn into deeds for You and Your glory.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for giving us the privilege of participating in Your kingdom. You do this so we can know You better, truly abide in You, and have joy in the process. May our lives be witnesses to Your faithfulness as You make us faithful vessels for You to act through.

Father God, we know that regardless of any type of natural or spiritual famine in any land, You are able to bless and guide Your people into fruitfulness. We thank You for making a way in Jesus, the seed of Abraham and Isaac, for all the nations of the earth to be blessed through faith. May every piece of ground in every nation where our feet tread be blessed because of our faith in You.

Holy Spirit, thank You for revealing to us that You care deeply about both men and women in Your Kingdom. Keep us from compromise due to fear of not only losing our life but also the way of life that You have outlined for us. There is protection in the relational boundaries You set. May we see it, seek it, and sow it.

We thank You, Lord Jesus, that You are able to make all grace abound. Bless us with delight in Your grace. You own the cattle on a thousand hills and there is no lack in You. May those among whom we live to serve You see Your hand of blessing on us and glorify Your name. Show us how to honor the work of those who have gone before us in tangible ways. Remind us that we often stand on their shoulders and that You bless us when we honor them.

We pray, Lord, that You would keep the enemies of Your Kingdom away from us. Remind us also that Your hand of blessing in our lives and our work on Your behalf will sometimes bring us opposition. We see the possibility of envy, exploitation, extortion, estrangement, and enmity from the very people who stand to benefit from You being present in their land.

Holy Spirit, we pray that Your presence and favor with us is undeniable. May we please You so much that You cause our enemies to be at peace with us. May we be quick to offer grace even when faced with blatant hypocrisy. Help us to love and bless our enemies with the ultimate goal of drawing them closer to You. May Your abundant flow of grace, mercy, and love in and through our lives overflow into theirs.

Father God, keep us from bitterness and strife even in the midst of misunderstanding. Give us patience to be willing to try one more time in Your name. Keep us from compromising Your kingdom values for any perceived success in the short-term. Remind us that no earthly alliance is worth it, if we lose our relationship with You.

Father, Son, and Spirit, You are the God of “Room Enough.” Lead us to wide open spaces where Your work in and around us can thrive. May we see You, hear You, and worship You in every circumstance!
