Holy Spirit, we come before You today to ask You for healing from blindness, both physical and spiritual. Give us Your vision so that we have a better perspective of what You are accomplishing in and through our life and that of those around us. We thank You, Holy Spirit, for recording Sarah’s age of death. It helps us to stop and take an account of the importance of her life and her example of faith. Her own journey of believing and submitting to Your faithfulness added to Abraham’s walk of faith for better or for worse. Father God, we thank You for testing our faith. Thank You for giving us the opportunity to know what we truly believe when our faith is tested. Remind us that the testing of our faith produces patience, endurance, steadfastness, and perseverance in us. We admit that it often feels like painful discipline, but we know that You are working to produce peace and righteousness in us. (more…)
Father God, we thank You that You are gracious to us and do what You promise You will do. Your promises are not delayed. They show up in our lives when You complete what You are working out in us. Remind us that what is being inwardly perfected in us while we wait is as much a part of Your promise as the outward manifestation of the promise itself. (more…)
Father God, we come before You today to pray for leaders and government officials whom You have placed in authority over us. We pray that they would set themselves apart to do Your will. May they be people of honor among whom we can live peaceful lives without fear. (more…)
Lord Jesus, we come before You today to intercede for friends and family who either don’t know You and find themselves in detrimental places of their own choosing. We pray that You would help them to recognize the rescue that You send them. If they have intentionally taken paths in life that have led them out of Your will, we stand in the gap and intercede for them as You live to intercede for us. (more…)
Lord God, as we live out our lives before You, we pray that You would find us waiting expectantly at the door of all that our lives hold. Reveal Yourself to us in the midst of the rhythms of our daily lives. Help us to run and hurry and do everything in our power to lay aside our own agendas even when it seems like the timing of Your visitation is inconvenient. (more…)
