Genesis Twenty-eight

G

Father God, we thank You for the covering that You give us when we freely and fully receive our parents’ blessing. Remind us to reach out, call on our children, and bless them not only at specific moments but often. Show us how to pass on generational blessings that we have benefited from ourselves. Direct us as we direct them in the way that they should go. (more…)

Genesis Twenty-seven

G

Holy Spirit, we come before You today to ask You for healing from blindness, both physical and spiritual. Give us Your vision so that we have a better perspective of what You are accomplishing in and through our life and that of those around us. Connect us with people who walk according to what You reveal to them. May we be humble enough to, recognize them, acknowledge them and ask for guidance when we need it. (more…)

Genesis Twenty-six

G

Holy Spirit, keep us wide open to Your instructions. Teach us to hear and obey Your voice. Remind us that obedience even in the smallest details leads to Your revelation about what our next step needs to be. Grow our faith so that it can turn into deeds for You and Your glory. (more…)

Genesis Twenty-five

G

Father God, we pray for wisdom in knowing how to partner with You in building Your kingdom. Show us how and where to invest our time, talents, and treasures to participate in what You are doing and in what You promised to do. May we be prolific and productive wherever we find ourselves working today as we abide in You.  (more…)

Genesis Twenty-four

G

Holy Spirit, we humbly ask that You help us to not miss the treasury of spiritual insights and implications that You lay out for us in this chapter. As Abraham sent out his servant Eliezer to bring back Rebekah as a bride for his son Isaac, You have been sent by the Father to bring back the Church as the Bride of Christ.  (more…)

Genesis Twenty-three

G

We thank You, Holy Spirit, for recording Sarah’s age of death. It helps us to stop and take an account of the importance of her life and her example of faith. Her own journey of believing and submitting to Your faithfulness added to Abraham’s walk of faith for better or for worse. May we be willing to believe You and submit in faith to You as we walk with our spouses.  (more…)

Genesis Twenty-two

G

Father God, we thank You for testing our faith. Thank You for giving us the opportunity to know what we truly believe when our faith is tested. Remind us that the testing of our faith produces patience, endurance, steadfastness, and perseverance in us. We admit that it often feels like painful discipline, but we know that You are working to produce peace and righteousness in us.  (more…)
