Father God, as we follow You the path that You lay out for us, may we clearly see what is important to You. Give Your ministering angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. May they bear us in their hands to keep our feet from tripping as we go along life’s journey.
Holy Spirit, teach us to walk in a way that places an emphasis on what is important to You. Show us how to ask for forgiveness and reconcile with our brothers and sisters when we wrong them. Help us to see that a healed relationship is more important than ongoing tension as we follow You.
Lord Jesus, keep us from being terrified when we are moving towards our calling and we hear of impending trouble ahead. Be our Prince of Peace when we feel threatened. Even if an army besieges us or war breaks out against us, keep us confident in Your presence. In moments of anxiety, may we recall Your promises and speak them boldly over our life.
Father God, You make all things work for the good of those who love You and whom You call according to Your purpose. You humble us with Your unfailing love and faithfulness despite our shortcomings. Even when we are not worthy of it, Your goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our life. Help us to trust that even the things that don’t feel good in the moment are for our good, if they come from Your hands.
Holy Spirit, give us a tenacity to pursue intimacy with You without giving up. Help us to hang on to You even when the very core of our strength is shaken. May we earnestly desire the fullness of all the blessings that come from Your hand. Teach us that the biggest blessing is to be used by You and be given the heritage of those who love Your name.
Lord Jesus, may we hunger and thirst for righteousness that comes from being in a right relationship with You. Help us to draw close knowing that there is fullness of joy and pleasures at Your right hand. Show us that we cannot wrestle anything from a distance. May all our struggles be with You at our side and not against You.
Father God, invade our lives in such an undeniable way that we see Your hand in every circumstance. May our struggles make us turn our face towards You and look to You alone. Help us to live so completely for You that even our eating and drinking is a remembrance of Your blessing in our life.
Father, Son, and Spirit, change our walk with You so that every step we take is marked by Your transforming touch. Do it all for the glory of Your name alone. – Amen!
