Genesis Thirty-three

G

Father God, we thank You for the revelation that when we have contended with You in prayer, we have nothing to fear. Help us to lift our eyes to see that You are our help even if it looks like a small army is approaching us. Remind us that when we have bowed down in worship to You, we can go forth boldly to meet any adversary, either perceived or real, in Your name.

Holy Spirit, bring us together in peace and unity with our brothers and sisters to accomplish the purposes of Your kingdom. Help us to extend the lavish grace which we have experienced and are still experiencing. May we show it in an abundance of generosity.

Lord Jesus, remind us that we are new creations in You. The old has gone and the new is here. Help us to remember the message and ministry of reconciliation we have through You. You reconciled us to God while we were still sinners. May it be our life’s work to reconcile others to You and be reconciled with one another as well.

Father God, lead us gently at the pace which we can travel. Remind us that those with whom we walk are all going at different paces too. Give us the patience to walk humbly with the slowest among us. Help us to clearly see that sometimes we might be the slowest ones of all because of our encounter with You.

Holy Spirit, show us how to live separate lives dedicated to You even when we settle among people who don’t know You. May we appreciate the freedom You give us to worship You in spirit and truth. Help us to build a life of dependence on You. You are the only shelter and shield we trust.

Lord Jesus, help us to live our life in a way that tangibly shows our belief in You. Teach us how to make an investment in future generations when we have yet to see promises fulfilled. Remind us of our newness in You and may we worship from that place of newness.

Father, Son, and Spirit, You alone reign over all circumstances of our life. After having done everything You command us to do, remind us that we stand victorious in Your victory alone. -Amen!
