Genesis Fifty

G

;

Lord Jesus, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. The way in which You moved in the past is the same way that You are moving today. By the power of the Holy Spirit, You want to keep moving in our lives. Help us to surrender to You so that You can keep working not only in us, with us, and through us, but also in, with, and through the lives of our children’s children’s children. (more…)

Genesis Forty-nine

G

Holy Spirit, help us to hear and respond to what You are saying to us throughout Your word. Remind us that all of scripture is God-breathed and we can benefit from it in more ways than we understand. You make no mistakes in how You have laid out Your word. May we seek Jesus in Your word everyday to become more and more like Him.  (more…)

Genesis Forty-eight

G

Holy Spirit, regardless of what happens as we age and approach the end of our days, keep the next generation in our line of vision. Give us wisdom on how to adequately prepare them to be established in Your kingdom. Help us to honor them as we bless them in Your name and show us how to bless them prophetically just like You do.  (more…)

Genesis Forty-seven

G

Lord Jesus, Your obedience and submission to the will of our Father paved the path for many to be brought to safety from sin. Help us to live by following Your example, so that our obedience to Your word yields the same results. Help us to never give up no matter how long or arduous the journey ahead of us might be. (more…)

Genesis Forty-six

G

Father God, we thank You for bringing us to a place of surrender. Sometimes You ask us to go in what seems like the opposite direction of Your promises. May we seek You through it all. Keep us sensitive to Your leading as we lead those whom You place in our care. Help us to be obedient and do whatever You ask of us. (more…)

Genesis Forty-five

G

Holy Spirit, give us wisdom to submit to the revelation of Your truth the first time we encounter it. Keep us humble so that we don’t have to be put through the paces to learn things the hard way. Sometimes we suffer for righteousness, but very often we are simply living out the consequences of sin in our life.  (more…)

Genesis Forty-four

G

Father God, remind us that forgiveness is the very focal point of the gospel message. Jesus paid for it with His life. We sadly take it for granted because of the quick access we now have to it with You. Help us to not take it for granted. May we never cheapen Your grace because we can now come into Your presence anytime. (more…)

Genesis Forty-three

G

Father God, You do not grow tired or weary. You are not surprised when we try to fix things without You. You even let us have our own way, so that we can eventually come around to seeing how foolish we really are. Without You, we inevitably wear ourselves out spinning our wheels and getting nowhere. Keep us from stubbornness and gently bring us back to surrender at Your feet. (more…)

Genesis Forty-two

G

Father God, remind us that You are not mocked; what we sow, we will reap. Help us to see that even though our sin is under Jesus’ blood, You want us to be spiritually whole and healthy through confession and reconciliation. Give us a heart of repentance before we are harshly corrected by the inevitable consequences of our sin. (more…)

Genesis Forty-one

G

Father God, help us to truly believe that You bring the best outcome for our life in the fullness of time. You can do more in a single moment than we can accomplish in years of striving in our own strength. Help us to wait on You as You renew our strength. (more…)
