Ephesians Three

E

Father God, we thank You that Your Jesus-centered plan is no longer hidden, but revealed to us by Your Word and by the eye-opening wisdom of Your Holy Spirit in us. As we saturate our lives with Your Word and Your presence, we ask You to help us recognize and use the endless treasures that are available to us in Christ.

Your purposes and your plans are eternal; Your rich wisdom has now been revealed to all the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms. We are humbled by the wisdom and scope of Your plans and purposes for us. We thank You that because of Jesus and because of our faith in Him, we can come fearlessly into Your presence.

Keep us from despair when we are discouraged or dishonored because of our faith in You. We lift our brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world who are being persecuted for their faith right now. From nomadic tribes in distant deserts to corporate and creative spaces, may the honor that comes from knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior encourage the hearts of all believers today.

You are our eternal Father of lights, from whom every family in heaven and on earth gets its name.  We pray that out of the immeasurable immensity of Your riches in glory, You would give us great inner strength by the power of the Holy Spirit. As we rid our hearts of all idols to make more and more room for Christ, may our roots be firmly established in His unchanging, undying love for us.

Lord Jesus, Your Love is an unscalable Everest that has yet to be sufficiently mined. It encompasses the world and spans the breadth of all experiences, it carries us through the length of our days, it reaches the heights of all our joys and jubilees, it meets us at the depth of our disasters and despairs. May we have the power with all of Your people to understand its vastness.

May Your love compel us to put ourselves out on a limb of The Tree planted by Living Waters. Fully surrendered to Your love, may we know that even if we fall, there is no better outcome than drowning in Your Love. Even if we cannot comprehend it, may the deep waters of Your love fill us, wash over us, cleanse us, flood us, and overflow from us to all we meet today and everyday of our lives.

May we be filled to the full measure with life and power that comes from knowing You.  All praise and glory to You, who are able to do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine, forever and ever – Amen!
