Beyond Broken Narratives

Broken narratives can interrupt us anywhere in the world, in any station of life, and in any season of life. Moving beyond them is possible. In order to do that, we must address the roots of what we choose to believe.

Roshni Di Stefano is multi-lingual, travels often, and has family scattered across the globe. She can make herself at home almost anywhere in the world, but knows what loneliness looks and feels can like. While the ideas of home and community with real people in real time seemed elusive for many years, Roshni found them within reach right where she lived. Her journey of stepping out, showing up, and serving in big and small ways changed her life and she hopes it does the same for others. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
