Lord God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, we thank You for being our El-Shaddai – Almighty, Omnipotent, and All-Sufficient God. We thank You that when You ask us to live blamelessly before You, You do it in full awareness of our weaknesses, our impotence, and our insufficiency. Father God, we ask for Your forgiveness for every decision we have made while thinking from our earthly perspective rather than coming to You for a heavenly perspective first. Teach us that there is no situation in our lives that is so urgent that we cannot stop for two minutes to seek Your wisdom in our daily lives. Regardless of what we think, remind us that Your heavenly arrangement for the institution of one man and one woman in marriage is always the best plan. (more…)
