Genesis Twenty-two

G

Father God, we thank You for testing our faith. Thank You for giving us the opportunity to know what we truly believe when our faith is tested. Remind us that the testing of our faith produces patience, endurance, steadfastness, and perseverance in us. We admit that it often feels like painful discipline, but we know that You are working to produce peace and righteousness in us.

Holy Spirit, we pray that we would be so deeply familiar with the sound of Your every whisper that when You call us, our only response is “Here I am!” You are faithful in keeping Your promises and fulfilling Your word. May we know beyond the shadow of a doubt that You will not leave or forsake us in all things especially trial and testing.

Lord Jesus, You call us out with words of life. To whom else shall we go? May we respond to Your call on our lives urgently, immediately, and completely. We humbly ask for the grace to love You more than anything or anyone else in this world. Even if the journey is arduous, help us to go where You alone are leading.

Holy Spirit, give us the gift of faith with everything else that You want to give us. Build faith around our lives like a shield-shaped force field that extinguishes the fiery attacks of the enemy. Help us to have faith enough to believe that You can resurrect all that is dead in our lives. May we believe in our hearts and declare it with our mouths. Remind us that resurrection is a promise You love to keep.

Father God, if You are for us, who can be against us? Open our eyes to see that You gave what was most precious to You when You gave us Your son Jesus. If You did not spare Him, but gave Him for us all, how will You not, also with Him, graciously give us all things. May this fact build our faith!

Lord Jesus, You are the Lamb of God who was slain from the foundation of the world. We confess that we don’t always understand what this truly means and why it was necessary. Help us to see that no one else was found worthy. Thank You for being willing to be the sacrifice that God our Father provided for Himself!

Holy Spirit, we thank You that there is always a reward for obedience. You reward us first of all with greater faith. We then have immediate provision for what we need and future blessings for generations that have yet to be birthed in the natural and spiritual. Most importantly, You open our spiritual eyes and ears to give us a deeper revelation of who You are and all that You are doing. You are the best gift of all!

Father, Son, and Spirit, You not only want to hear about how much we love You, but You want to see and know it through our actions. We don’t have anything good in our lives that doesn’t already belong to You. May we live as living sacrifices before You all the days of our life, to the end and forever!
